Gyotaku Fish

I am starting to experiment with this Japanese form of printing with my 5th grade students. It has definitely grasped their attention and they have been having a blast. I'm going to use real fish soon, and see how it works out in my own work. I used a monotype water based ink for this print, and have begun to add some hand coloring using colored pencils.

Artomatic Set Up

I'm almost finished with setting up my space for this years Artomatic. I'm very excited, and very grateful to my cousin for helping with the handy work. I just have to mount and label my space. Hope you can come check it out! Artomatic starts on May 29th!
